William Frederick Harris, 96, Salisbury, died September 11, 2024. Born in Salisbury on April 22, 1928 to the late Percy and Helen (McKenzie) Harris. Preceded in death by his parents. Granddaughter, Megan Hetz. Sister, Betty Bowman. Survived by his wife of 74 years, Jackie Harris. Son, Tim (Dianne) Harris. Daughter, Teresa McKernan. Grandchildren; Bryan Harris, Brett (Jason) Dietz, Kate (Brad) Myers, and Tyler Hetz. Great Grandchildren; Khye Myers, Ty Myers, Karrie Dietz, Cody Dietz, Wyatt Harris, Teddy Harris, and Maggie Harris. Sister-in-law, Betty Smith. Fred served in the Korean War, in the United States Army as a Paratrooper. He was a member of the Salisbury Fire Department, Salisbury Ambulance, and Lions Club holding the position as a Lion-master. There will be a Mass at Saint Michael's Roman Catholic Church in memory of Fred. A private inurnment will be held at a later date. Arrangements by the M. Ray Leckemby Funeral Home.
