Shayne Will Baer

Shayne “Toby” Will Baer, 45, of Meyersdale, died December 9, 2016 at his home. Born on November 11, 1971 in Meyersdale.  Preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; Wilbert “Sam” and Charlotte Sanner, and paternal grandparents; John W. and Jeannetta Baer. Survived by his parents; John W. and Sandra Kay Baer. Brother, Sharad (Kacy Fullerton) Baer. Twin Niece and Nephew, Sabra Faith and Syrus Sam Baer. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Shayne belonged to the Moose, Somerset Eagles, Garrett Volunteer Fire Department. Shayne worked at Giant Eagle for years where he was the Dairy Manager, while working there he became great friends with Lou Galliker, and every year he looked forward to golfing  at the Sunnehanna Country Club with Lou. Shayne Graduated from Pitt, where he was a proud member of the Pitt Band. He was a avid golfer, pool player (several leagues), collected baseball cards since the age of 5, loved his annual beach trip with his buddies, had a DJ service known as “Peace Frog”. Shayne loved all kinds of trivia games, he was very educated in several topics.  Shayne played along with Jeopardy every night, and won final Jeopardy on Thursday night before passing. Family and friends will be received on Sunday from  2-4PM and 6-8PM at the M. Ray Leckemby Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be on Monday at 2:00PM at the Funeral Home with the Reverend Ken Davis officiating. Interment at the Meyersdale Area Union Cemetery.  Arrangement by the M.
