Robert P. Ging, Jr. passed away peacefully with Ruth Edwards by his side on Monday, August 31, 2015. Bob grew up in Brookline, PA. He was the oldest of nine children to Robert P. Ging, Sr. (deceased) and Rosemary L. Ging. Bob, an avid outdoors-man who loved hunting and fishing, moved to Confluence, PA to live out his dream of being a modern day mountain man. Bob, who had been affectionately named the “Good Lawyer” for his tireless efforts to fight for the environment and those who enjoyed it. He took great pride in doing battle for those who couldn’t defend themselves. Bob made great friends over the years and made lasting relationships all over the state including his favorite spot The Westline Inn. Bob was an Eagle Scout, lifetime member of Trout Unlimited and a number of other conservation groups. Bob is survived by his siblings, Don (Georgia) Ging, Tim (Betty Lou) Ging, Mary Ging, Patty (Bob) Cole, Carol (Dave) Erzen, Kevin (Carolyn) Ging, Karen (Tom) Beattie, and Terry (Lori) Ging, and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Bob’s wish was to raise a pint in celebration of his life, which will be honored by his family and friends. Per his wishes, there will be no viewing or service. Arrangements by the M.
