Orval (Jake) Lee Shaffer, 70, Meyersdale. Died
July 10, 2016 at his home. Born in Meyersdale
September 28, 1945 to the late Walter and Hulda
(Wilt) Shaffer.  Preceded in death by his brothers;
James, Dewey (Jock), Wilbur (Poss) Shaffer. Sister,
Ruth Crosby. Survived by his loving wife, Judy K.
(House) Shaffer. Children; Michael Shaffer, Craig
Shaffer of Meyersdale, Ronald (Berenice) Shaffer of
Frostburg, Kathy (Craig) Phillips of Fairhope, and
Karen ( Ron Price, Sr,) Shaffer of Albright, WV.
Grandchildren; Duane (Buckwheat) Patton II,
Maria Johnson, Kayla Patton, AJ Johnson, Cooper Shaffer,
Danielle (Ron) Keister, LaTisha Edgar, and Matt Rowley.
Siblings; Charles (Leona) Shaffer of Shaft, George
(Sandy) Shaffer, Clara (Leonard) Lottig, Carlen (Alan)
Miller all of Meyersdale, Hulda Sturtz of Frostburg, and
Connie (David) VanGilder of Berlin. Jake loved his horses,
and was active in the Horse Pulling Association.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday 2-4
and 6-8 PM at the M. Ray Leckemby Funeral Home.
The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday night after the
viewing at 8:00 PM with Pastor Connie Garlick officiating.
Interment Meyersdale Area Union Cemetery.  In lieu of
flowers contributions may be made to the Funeral Home to
