Megan Elaine (Harris) Hetz, 33, Meyersdale. Died August 13, 2021 at UPMC Presbyterian after a long and courageous battle with Cystic Fibrosis. Born in Cumberland, Maryland December 10, 1987 to Tim and Dianne (Swank) Harris. Preceded in death by her grandfather, Daniel W. Swank. Survived by her parents, Tim and Dianne. Husband, Tyler Hetz whom she married on July 22, 2017. Brother, Bryan (Brittany) Harris. Nieces and nephews; Wyatt, Theodore, and Margaret Harris, and Brinlee Lane. Father-in-law and mother-in-law, Skip and Tizzie Hetz. Grandparents; Fred and Jackie Harris, Janet Swank, Larry and Bonnie Stewart, Sr., Julie (Mimi) Hetz, and Skip and Deb Hetz. Aunts, Teresa McKernan and Sally (Jim) Shroyer. Uncle, Dan (Eileen) Swank. Brother-in-law, Glen (Paige) Hetz. Sister-in-law, Shiyan (Chuck) Ross. Numerous other family members. Megan was a Special Education Teacher in Allegany County, Maryland. She loved her dogs, playing soccer and playing softball in college. Megan loved the beach it was her favorite place to visit. She loved going on truck dates with Tyler. She enjoyed jeep rides with the top down. Her favorite food to eat was “cheese”. Megan lived her life to the fullest. Megan's words - “All things are possible if you believe... Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust”. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, August 17,2021 from 2-4 and 6-9 PM at the M. Ray Leckemby Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, at 12:00 PM at the Meyersdale Grace Brethren Church with Pastor Larry Stewart, Sr. and Pastor Larry Stewart, Jr. officiating.
