Margaret Heinbaugh Obituary

Margaret C. Heinbaugh, 87, of Meyersdale, passed away on April 24, 2019, at In-Touch Hospice in Somerset.  Born August 13, 1931 in Ursina to the late James and Ada Heinbaugh.  She was also preceded in death by her brothers Paul and John and most recently her sister Betty. When she was young she cared for her ailing mother.  This experience inspired Peg to spend her life caring for others.  Every aspect of her life revolved around helping others.  She worked in various nursing facilities thru out her career.  She was dedicated to caring for her patients, her family, friends and neighbors.  She didn’t allow her own suffering from cancer to distract her for caring for those around her.   Whatever she did in life she was content, the simplest things would make her happy.   In her free time she enjoyed gardening, her cats and her ever growing dish collection. Her favorite thing was spending time with her nieces and nephews.  She was our “Aunt Peg” and her quiet, gentle and patient nature will be missed.  A special thanks to her best friend Nancy Wilt and to Ken and Gail Strope for all their help during this time.  We are all blessed for having Peg in our lives.  Rest peacefully my friend. Family and friends will be received on Sunday, April 28, 2019 from 1:00 – 5:00 PM at the M. Ray Leckemby Funeral Home, Meyersdale. Per Margaret's wishes she will then be cremated.
