Mabel Bahr Obituary

Mabel Viola (Brown) Bahr, 95, passed away on March 15, 2022, in Perry Hall, Maryland. Mabel was born on December 8, 1926 in Sand Patch, Pennsylvania. Mabel graduated from the Sacred Heart School of Nursing in Cumberland, Maryland and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Maryland at College Park, and worked for many years as a nurse at Perry Point Medical Center and Fallston General Hospital (now closed). She lived in Harford County from the 1950s until 1989, when she retired to Kent Island and took up crabbing and gardening. Mabel is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Edna Brown. First husband, Seymore Woodrow Jenkins. Second husband, Henry Charles Bahr, Sr. Brothers, Charles Brown and Robert Brown. Sisters: Ida Mae Snyder, Betty Gaughan, and Nettie Brown. She is survived by her sister, Ruth Romesberg. Sons, Joseph Bahr and Robert Bahr. Stepchildren: Margaret Werneth, Marie Whipp, Henry Bahr, Jr., Mary Bahr, Frances Pullin, William Bahr, Dorothy Orolin, John Bahr, Ann Dwyer, and Katherine Duckworth. Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, March 19, 2022 from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at the M. Ray Leckemby Funeral Home, the Funeral Service will follow the viewing at 1:00 PM with Pastor Caroline Penick officiating, Interment Mt. Carmel – White Oak Cemetery. M.
