Karen Ann Starkey, 76, Wellersburg, died September 5, 2024 at Peace Healthcare at Lion Center. Born in Cumberland, Maryland, August 8, 1948 to the late Herman E. and Mary M. Starkey. Preceded in death by her parents. Sister-in-law, Sharon Starkey. Godson, Morgan Lunsford. Survived by her brother, Gary Starkey. Sister, Joyce (Don) Neilson. Niece, Susan (Scott) Hotchkiss. Great nieces, Kylee (Bishop) Rotting and Claire (Logan) Holler. Special friends; Darrell and Lisa Rowley, Doug and Nanette Johnson, Debbie and Marshall Lunsford, Godson, Neil Lunsford, Barbara Sesky and her family, Christie Clevenger and Gibron Sesky, and Paula Pavanel. Karen worked and retired from the Department of State in Washington, D.C. Karen had a kind soul, friendly smile, and she loved all animals. Per Karen's wishes she will be cremated.
