John A. Robinson, 87, Fairhope, formerly Martinsburg, WV went to be with his Lord and Savior May 21, 2018 under the loving care given by the staff at In-Touch Hospice House. Born May 7, 1931 in Martinsburg, WV
to the late William and Letha (Ritenour) Robinson. Preceded in death by his first wife, Alice Shepard Robinson. Daughter, Anna Robinson. Stepchildren; Tim Harrington and Penny Camacho. Brothers; Raymond, Samuel, Calvin, Jacob, and Wilbur Robinson. Sisters; Leatha Snow, Margaret Snyder, Martha Creamer, Ethel Clarke, Gladys Robinson, Rose Dillo, Odessa Pittsnogle, and June Robinson. Sadly missed by wife, Sharon (Bittner) Robinson. Children; John (Autumn) Robinson, Joanie (Chris) Shaffer, Lee Robinson, and guardian of several. Stepchildren; Karon (Jeremy) Baer, and Dave (Kristie) Keefer. Thirty Grandchildren. Five Great Grandchildren. Brothers; Paul (Irene) Robinson and Bernard (Glenda) Robinson. John's “little buddy” Ahren James. John was a proud member of the United States Air Force, serving during the Korean War Era. John belonged to the American Legion Post 445 in Berlin. John was a retired maintenance supervisor and locksmith. He enjoyed pitching horse shoes, woodworking, and spending time with the little ones. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 from 6:00 – 9:00 PM at the M. Ray Leckemby Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home with Pastor Andy Gannon officiating. Internment to follow at Meyersdale Area Union Cemetery.
