James Edward Miller

James Edward Miller, 87, Meyersdale. Died September 5, 2016 at Meyersdale Medical Center. Born in Meyersdale on November 10, 1928 to the late Sherman and Margaret (Stein) Miller. Preceded in death by brothers; Kenneth and Dale Miller. Survived by his wife, Roberta (Landis) Miller. Son, James Robert (Gloria) Miller. Daughters; Rebecca Ann (Gerhard) Kaselow and Lisa Michele Miller. Grandchildren; Mary Beth (Colonel Paul) Cote, Lieutenant Colonel Michael (Adrienne) Sines, Tess Elizabeth Miller, and Andrew James Miller. Great Grandchildren; Marina, Aiden, and Bridget Cote, and Lily and Owen Sines. Brothers; Wayne (Clara) Miller, Ronald (Almeda) Miller. Sister; Bonnie (Mike) Nelson. Sister-In-Law, Mazi Miller. Jim was a member of the Meyersdale Grace Brethren Church where he held many titles such as Deacon, Sunday School Superintendent and Teacher, and Leader in the Awana Club. Jim was a avid golfer and bowler. Jim had a love for running and participated in marathons after the age of 57. Family and friends will be received on Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Meyersdale Grace Brethren Church. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at the Meyersdale Grace Brethren Church with Pastor Randy Haulk officiating. Interment Meyersdale Area Union Cemetery.
