Ira "Wick" Karl Lichty, Jr.

Ira “Wick” Karl Lichty, Jr., 81, Meyersdale formerly Salisbury, passed away October 30, 2025 at his home. Born December 18, 1943 in Meyersdale, a son of the late Ira K. and Pauline (Vought) Lichty, Sr. Preceded in death by brother Paul. Survived by his wife of 60 years, Marla L. (Thomas) Lichty. Brothers, Richard and Rodney. Many nieces and nephews. He was a retired Coleman / Fleetwood employee at the Somerset Plant for 40 plus years. Wick greatly enjoyed trout fishing on the local area streams with much success. Big Piney Run being his all time favorite stream. He also dedicated many hours to support the local trout hatchery operations. Wick was a member of the Salisbury VFW and Son's of American Legion. He was a great fan of the New York Yankees and of sports in general. He took pride in having a well kept yard. He loved to garden and often shared vegetables with others. Family and friends will be received on Monday, November 3, 2025 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the M. Ray Leckemby Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Funeral Home with a viewing from 12-2:00 prior to the Service, Pastor Regina Holliday officiating.
