Hulda “Skip” Mae Sturtz, 81, Frostburg formerly from Meyersdale, died January 23, 2025 at UPMC Western Maryland. Born in Meyersdale July 16, 1943 to the late Walter A. and Hulda J. (Wilt) Shaffer. Preceded in death by her parents. Brothers; James Shaffer, Dewey (Jock) Shaffer, Charles Shaffer, Wilbur (Poss) Shaffer, Orval (Jake) Shaffer, and George (Buck) Shaffer. Sister, Ruth Crosby. Sons; Paul Woodford, Wayne Engle, and Brad Sturtz. Great Granddaughter, Alivia VanGilder. Survived by her daughter, Connie (David) VanGilder. Son, Scott Sturtz. Grandchildren; Justin (Jessica) VanGilder, Jason (Erin) VanGilder, Natasha (Josh) Bittner, Tess Engle, Kaylan Sturtz, Kelsi Sturtz, Jeffrey (Tom) Brandon, and Nicole Davis. Great Grandchildren; McCauley, Hartley, Ally, Alana, Alexis, Kylee, Mattie, Emily, Embree, Rylan, and Reigni. Daughter-in-law, Lori Engle. Sisters, Clara (Leonard) Lottig and Carlen (Alan) Miller. Numerous nieces and nephews. Skip loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Skip loved having fun with her family and friends. Family and friends will be received on Sunday, January 26,2025 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the M. Ray Leckemby Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 27, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Funeral Home with Pastor Eric Shaulis officiating. Interment Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Arrangements by the M.
