George "Buck" Walter Shaffer

George “Buck” Walter Shaffer, 69, Meyersdale. Died May 30, 2017. Born in Sandpatch January 1, 1948 to the late Walter and Hulda (Wilt) Shaffer.  Preceded in death by his brothers; James, Dewey (Jock), Wilbur (Poss), Orval (Jake) Shaffer. Sister, Ruth Crosby. Father-In-Law and Mother-In-Law, Orion and Violet Reiber. Survived by his loving wife, Sandra (Reiber) Shaffer. Siblings; Charles (Leona) Shaffer of Shaft, Clara (Leonard) Lottig, Carlen (Alan) Miller all of Meyersdale, Hulda Sturtz of Frostburg, and Connie (David) VanGilder of Berlin. In-Laws; Gary (Audrey) Reiber, David (Lois) Reiber, James (Judy) Reiber, Brion (Aileen) Reiber, Beverly (Carl) Leydig, Christine (Jeff) Walker, and Connie (John) Reddick. Numerous nieces and nephews. George served in the United States Army. Family and friends will be received on Friday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the M. Ray Leckemby Funeral Home.  The Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Connie Garlick officiating.
