Dorothy Elizabeth Emerick, 84, Meyersdale, died December 22, 2021 at Meyersdale Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Wellersburg July 14, 1937 to the late William and Daisy (Hook) Emerick. Preceded in death by her parents. Son, David Shaffer. Brother, Howard “Bud” Emerick. Sisters; Effie Sturtz, Marie Murray, and Velma Dawson. Survived by her daughters; Janet (Grant) Custer, Betty Oster, and Anna (David) Merkel all of Hyndman. Grandchildren; Robin Custer, Rebecca Custer, Ernest Oster, Lisa Oster, Donald Merkel, and Trever Merkel. Four Great Grandchildren. Sister, Geraldine Zembower. Numerous nieces and nephews.
