Donald Blaine Humberson Obituary
It is with deep sorrow and profound love that we announce the passing of Donald Humberson at the age of 50. He passed away peacefully at home. Donald was a man of immense heart, quick wit, and an easy going spirit. To his family, he was the bedrock – a devoted father, a doting grandfather, and a deeply loyal brother. To know him was to know a man who found absolute joy in the simple, beautiful things in life. If he wasn't spending time laughing with his siblings or teaching his daughter and grandchildren life lessons, you could almost always find him doing one of two things: strumming his guitar or standing over a hot grill. Music was the soundtrack to his life. Whether he was playing a familiar classic tune for a quiet room or leading a lively family sing-along, the gentle melody of his guitar was a constant comfort to those around him. Equally legendary was his skill at the grill. Donald's cooking wasn't just a hobby, it was his way of bringing people together. He was the undisputed king of the backyard barbecue, happiest when his hands were busy prepping a meal and the yard was filled with the smoke of the grill, good music, and the sound of his grandchildren playing nearby. He fed our bodies with incredible food and our souls with endless love. His legacy lives on through his daughter, Helen Weaver and her husband Tyler Weaver, cherished grandchildren Leighla and Delilah Weaver. Brothers, Jody Humberson, Daniel (Jamie Walker) Humberson, and Jeremy (Melissa McKenzie) Humberson. Nephew, Joshua Humberson. Grand-niece, Audrey Humberson. Uncles, Leroy and Bobby Thompson. A host of extended family and lifelong friends who will forever miss his warmth, his music, and his smile. He is reunited in peace with his parents, Barbara Humberson and Ronald Humberson. In honor of his joyful spirit, the family requests that you share a favorite memory, play a classic song, or fire up the grill in his memory today. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, June 4, 2026 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the M. Ray Leckemby Funeral Home. Arrangements by the M. Ray Leckemby Funeral Home. (www.mrayleckembyfh.com)
