Charles Maxwell Honsaker, 97, Meyersdale. Died


April 26, 2015 at Western Maryland Health System.


Born in Woodside, Pa. February 27, 1918 to the late


Charles S. and Nelle (Springer) Honsaker.


Preceded in death by his wife, Verna May Honsaker.


Brother, Robert W. Honsaker. Survived by his Son,


David Honsaker and his wife Debbie of Meyersdale.


Daughter, Debra Honsaker of New York City.


Grandchildren: David, Christian, Kevin, Jesse, and


Elizabeth Honsaker. Sisters: Dorothy L. Honsaker-Smith


and Emma J. Honsaker-Grimm both of Myrtle Beach, SC.


Charles was a member of the VFW and the American


Legion. Charles served in the United States Army


were he was a Military Police Officer during


World War II – South Pacific Campaign.


Friends will be received on Wednesday, April 29


from 4-7 at the M. Ray Leckemby Funeral Home.


The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday


at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Haulk


officiating. Interment Meyersdale Area Union Cemetery.
