Carl E. Firl

Carl E. Firl, 96, Meyersdale, died April 21, 2016

at Golden Living Center. Born September 24, 1919,

in Summit Township.  He was the son of the late

Samuel and Ida (Maust) Firl. Preceded in death by his

wife, Ruth. An infant son. Brothers; Ray, Earl, and

Lloyd Firl. Sisters; Esther Trexel, Mary Yoder, Louella

LaRue, and Ethel Gnagey.  Survived by many nieces

and nephews.  Carl served in Company 366 CCC Camp

White Deer, S-125 Elimsport, Pa. Worked for farmers,

Pennstein Egg Company, H.G. Bender Implement

Company, Rockwood Plastics, Miller Machine Works,

and Yoder's Garbage Disposal. Carl was a

member of St. Paul's Wilhelm Church, where he

served as deacon. There will be a Graveside Service

at St. Paul's Wilhelm Cemetery on Sunday, April 24, 2016

at 2:00 PM with Pastor Tom Holliday officiating.
