Arlene Mae (Smith) Gallagher, 85, Meyersdale went to heaven on August 8, 2025 to care for God's flowers. She was born in Glencoe on December 23, 1939 to the late Harry and Mabel (Dively) Smith, Sr. Preceded in death by her husband, Donald Gallagher, Sr. Brothers; Harry, Jr., Herbert, James, Carl, Billy, John, and Robert Smith. Sisters, Ruth Hutzel and Ethel Donges. Survived by her daughters, Pamela (Norman) Arnold and Donna (Stephen) Seifert. Son, Donald (Amy Kelly) Gallagher, Jr. Grandchildren; Doug (Cassie) Arnold, Joshua (Kayla Faidley) Arnold, Christopher (Terra Knopsnyder) Arnold, Jonathan Seifert, Cassie Kelly Ennis, and Ashton Kelly. Great Grandchildren; Hunter, Easton, Olivia, Lincoln, Tatum, Mya, Parker, Gavin, Ryder, and Ava Arnold. Sisters, Hazel “Kate” Tomlinson, Dorothy Leister, and Nancy Miller. Brothers, Kenneth (Marian) Smith and Thomas (Sharon) Smith. Numerous nieces and nephews. Arlene's passion in life was serving the Lord and her family. She was a life member of Mt. Olivet Country Church serving in many offices. When the weather broke you could find Arlene from dawn until dusk working in her flower and vegetable gardens. She won the Garden Club Contest because of her healthy, beautiful flowers. She loved giving the fruits of her vegetable garden to neighbors. Her great grandchildren loved to visit grandma Lene and get spoiled with cookies. Arlene's favorite color was blue, she loved baking, cooking, and eating ice cream. Arlene “mom” could be found on her knees before bed praying and giving thanks to the Lord. All are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Mt. Olivet Country Church 178 Cook Road Fairhope, PA 15538 on Wednesday August 13, 2025 at 3:00 PM with Pastor David Klink officiating. If unable to attend the Memorial Service the family will receive friends at the Church from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
